Participated in a project organized by the Japan-US cultural exchange organization "Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Lab (BBFL)"
We are pleased to announce our participation in a project sponsored by Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo (BBFL), a Japan-U.S. cultural exchange institute that opened in Brooklyn, New York, USA.
BBFL is a lifestyle institute jointly developed and co-operated by J-Collaborative (founder: Hitoshi Sagaseki), a non-profit organization based in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and BBFL Sustainable LLC, a joint venture newly established by several Japanese and American companies, whose concept is Bridging Culture, Unveiling Creativity.”
Brooklyn is a place where many artists have moved to create a unique culture. The mission of the BBFL project is to create a sustainable and creative community inspired by the way of life and thinking of the people who live there, and to create a platform that connects Brooklyn, Japan, and the world.
Specifically, the 2,300㎡ facilities will feature an art gallery, café, grocery hair, nail, facial, and eyelash salons, and an upcycle shop, offering a total lifestyle based on the concept of “Brooklyn + Japan.” The store offers a total lifestyle based on the concept of “Brooklyn + Japan.”
In addition, participating Japanese and U.S. companies will develop new Japanese-U.S. hybrid products under the brand “Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo” and introduce them to the world through e-commerce and events.
Among them, we have developed 5 BBFL skincare items (cleansing, face wash, essence, lotion, and gel), which will be available at BBFL facilities and through e-commerce from January 2025.
Based on the product concept of “creating the 21st-century cosmetics version of Japonism and Japonica from Brooklyn,” the formulation is designed with an emphasis on anti-aging, brightening, anti-inflammatory properties, and skin protection by combining our proprietary penetration technology MC2X, traditional Japanese fermentation technology, Japanese herbal medicine, and extracts of plants native to Japan.
The packaging is a simple, white-colored design with the common “Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo” logo, and the company’s basic policy of no preservatives, dyes, fragrances, or other additives is incorporated as part of the design.
