Meet Joy Day Spa Owner, Joy NishikawaShe wasn’t looking to add another line, but she’s glad she did.

As the owner of the popular Pure Joy Day Spa, a tranquil oasis in the middle of Honolulu, Joy Nishikawa tries every product that catches her eye on herself. From high-end lines to drugstore budget buys, she wants to know not only what works, but wants to be able put it into the larger context of the skincare world. And from all that experimentation, she has chosen to carry only three skincare lines, which she felt were the best of the best, in almost 20 years of business. But in December, she added a fourth—Faith Cosmetics.

“I try it all,” says Joy, “so when I tried Faith, to see it make such a big difference on my skin was pretty phenomenal. My skin was firmer, brighter, pores got tighter, and my normally dry skin was much more hydrated. I used to use a very heavy cream and ampules, and I’ve stopped them and use Faith. I think it’s the absorption rate. Everything you want your skincare to do—Faith delivered.”

Joy hadn’t heard of Faith before, and was not looking to add another line to her skincare offerings, but “it boils down to results,” she says. “You can find lines with all of the great qualities, but at the end of the day women want to see a change in their skin.” And with Faith, she has.

In the three months since she started carrying Faith, she has had great feedback from clients. “I’ve been recommending it to clients who use lines such as Sisley, La Prairie, La Mer and Chantecaille,” says Joy.

She also likes the fact that “it’s pretty easy to use—it’s not anything crazy,” and appreciates Faith’s philosophy of safe skin care. “That is what I value in a product line—I want it to be safe for my clients and girls who use it every day.”
